The 12-month journey

Four phases, each building on the last.

Phase 1Months 1–3

Foundations

  • Structured onboarding with a dedicated buddy
  • Introduction to In4ra systems, tools and processes
  • CompTIA A+ study and exam preparation
  • First client-facing support responsibilities
  • Weekly one-to-ones with your line manager
Phase 2Months 4–6

Technical depth

  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) certification
  • Deeper involvement in client projects
  • Introduction to ITIL service management concepts
  • First solo client interactions under supervision
  • Mid-programme review and development planning
Phase 3Months 7–9

Leadership introduction

  • Leadership and communication skills workshops
  • Leading on smaller tasks and mini-projects
  • Mentoring sessions with a senior In4ra manager
  • Contributing to team knowledge base and documentation
  • Cyber security awareness and Cyber Essentials overview
Phase 4Months 10–12

Progression and review

  • Full performance and salary review
  • Certification achievement recognised and rewarded
  • Career development plan for year two agreed
  • Presentation of personal development portfolio
  • Progression pathway to graduate pathway or senior role confirmed
